You've had chocolate nut clusters, right? A blob
of nuts in a matrix of chocolate? Well, this is the
same thing, but with dry-roasted soybeans.
What
you need
First, rub the soybeans between your hands to remove
the papery coverings, if they have any. Then melt some
chocolate - I use chocolate melts, which you can get
in the baking section of your supermarket - and drop
the soybeans in, then fish them out, a tablespoonful
at a time, and put the molten clusters on the parchment
paper to harden. How much soybean per how much chocolate?
That's completely up to you.
I came up with this after making chocolate covered bacon.
I ran out of bacon while I still had some melted chocolate.
On an impulse I poured soybeans in and mixed it all
up. I quite liked the results, so I decided I'd keep
it in mind for the next time I found myself in that
predicament.
