Check out all that pink and orange. The orange is steamed carrots and steamed sweet potato. The hot pink is sakura-mochi (rice cake version), or rather an attempt at it. It was kind of a flop, actually. It did use up some mochi (rice pucks!) I wanted to get rid of, at least, and I've sincefound better recipes.

Yakitori is tasty and quite easy to make, especially if you have George Foreman grill it for you. If I didn't have such a crummy digital camera you could see that its chickenny color fit in with the brighter hues above, softening and balancing them, but since I don't you just gotta take my word for it. As for rice, well, what more can I say about the stuff?
