If
I had a decent camera the marinated stir-fried beef
would look a lot more appetizing, the rolled omelet
would also be egg-colored, and the stir-fried cabbage
wouldn't appear to be packing material. However, the soba noodles
would still be a strange grayish-brown.
The marinated meat and stir-fried cabbage are a good combo;
the flavors play well off each other. The omelet
is similar to the usual thing, except that it's rolled
up instead of served flat. Cold soba noodles are a traditional
summer dish. They are fine by themselves,
or you can serve them with yakisoba sauce (in the blue
container) and/or strips of nori on top.
