The
theme for this meal is "round stuff." I started
out with potato skin pizzas and steamed
buns, and from there went looking through the fridge
for other round things. I ended up with a clementine
orange, a boiled egg, and yomogi
daifuku.
The potato skin pizza is ugly in the photo, but
in real life they're appetizing. The one at top has
potato mixed in with the meat so it won't scatter all
over the lunch box. A clementine resembles a mikan,
a Japanese mandarin orange. (It's close enough for Gummint
work, as we say in the contracting biz.) The daifuku
is one I bought at a grocery some time ago and put in
my freezer. It's green because the rice dough is made with mugwort.
