This lunch is dedicated to the owner of Mmmbento, an excellent bento blog. She's having eye surgery - eek! - so I did a shout-out to her in the form of artsy-fartsy rice eyeballs with nori "expressions". They're not on the level of her onigiri and egg creations, but it's the spirit of the thing, ne?

With this is some yakiudon made with lo mein noodles, obimake enoki, alternated apple slices and blood orange segments (the flavors mixed just a little - yum!), grapes, and a piece of storebought taro mochi.
