 Once
again I've based a lunch on my "How weird - gimme some!" philosophy. The main
course is a fairly ordinary pork bun from 99 Ranch Market.
Tasty, although they sweeten the pork a little more than
I'd do myself. With that are edamame, which are always
good for filling odd little spaces in a bento box. And
finally, those strange, unappetizing-looking brown pods
are tamarinds. Yes, I know what they look like. The
first time I saw them I was curious, but not enough
to buy a box. I Googled around, found out that they're
legumes and taste like fruit, and bought some the next time around. And
despite their homely appearance, they're tasty!
