This
lunch was thrown together rather hastily at the end
of a long day - which goes to show that if you have
the right things in your fridge you can still put together
a nice lunch without cooking all the time! In the lower
left we have simplified chirashi-zushi,
which is basically sushi rice with a layer of nori in
the middle, thin cucumber strips and strips of artificial
crab on the top, and a pair of shrimp out of a bag in
the freezer. Also out of the freezer are takoyaki
and edamame. The baked Japanese sweet potato
took only a few minutes in the microwave and another
minute to slice, and for dessert I cut up some mango
and rambutans.
