The
last time I made okonomiyaki I tried a new ingredient:
cashews. Rather, the little fragments at the bottom
of a can of cashew halves and pieces. Why not? The verdict:
why not indeed? So, here we have okonomiyaki
with fake crab meat, shiitake mushrooms, cashew bits,
sesame seeds, and okonomiyaki sauce; funky Laugh-In
style "stars" cut from steamed
broccoli stems (close to the top, where they divide
into florets); steamed Japanese sweet
potato; and some strawberries and kiwi fruit that
I did not intentionally shape into a Muppetty face.
