This story begins with a Hunting Festival set after the events of the game.  The entries are, in order of appearance: Eiko, Vivi's children, Kuja, Zidane, Freya, and Salamander. When the boss monster comes out, Garnet jumps into the action, and everyone battles... a tonberry king. Quina appears after the battle is over and they're trying to figure out how to divvy up the points, presumably to cook the tonberry for dinner. After this are several serious stories. One revisits the "You're Not Alone!" sequence, in another Zidane goes into the Iifa Tree after Kuja, and in a third Kuja visits the Black Mage village, which is populated by Vivi's children, a much older Mikoto, and one Type C Black Mage.

As is probably obvious, I liked the third story the most among the serious ones. I've already seen several other stories based on the "You're Not Alone!" and rescue-of-Kuja scenarios, and as these looked like the same thing, plus as most of the time had more speech bubble than action, they didn't grab me. I liked the last one, but since I'm a fan of the Black Mages that's to be expected. The artwork in this doujinshi is nice, but the characters tend to have such long, long torsos that they make me think of daschunds.

I've never battled a tonberry king - haven't played that FF game yet - but the regular tonberries in Ipsen's Castle are nasty enough. I wouldn't want to get within stabbing distance of a giant one!
